Experience Outdoor Living’s new showroom at grand opening celebration

ST. GEORGE — The minute customers enter St. George Outdoor Living’s new showroom they are transported into a different world; one where they can imagine themselves dining alfresco with their friends and family or relaxing poolside in a comfortable lounger or hammock.

Browsing through inviting fire pits with glowing glass or picturing oneself baking world class pizza in one of the displayed outdoor ovens, it is easy for guests to tell that St. George Outdoor Living is more than just a showroom … it is an experience.

The community is invited to experience it for themselves Thursday when St. George Outdoor Living celebrates the grand opening of its new showroom at 735 S. Bluff St. (in the building where Deseret Book was formerly located).

Outdoor Living opened in the community just over four years ago, owner Collins Stuart said. Its new location has been open for about one month.

The Outdoor Living retail furnishings store in St. George specializes in high-end, quality outdoor furniture and accessories for living life outdoors in Southern Utah.

“Our focus is on quality manufacturers,” Stuart said.

The store also carries about eight different outdoor kitchen manufacturers, each of which has three to four different lines of products for Outdoor Living customers to choose from.

Stuart also owns The Awning Company, which operates out of the same location and focuses on the construction of backyard awnings, built-in kitchens and other yard enhancements.

For Stuart, Outdoor Living is about creating an experience for his customers that goes beyond the sale. It is his belief that most people who come to live in Southern Utah do it for the incredible access to the outdoors and the unique scenery in the region.

The furniture and accessories sold at Outdoor Living serve to enhance the outdoor life, and it all starts in the store. The company’s goal, Stuart said, is to make Southern Utah’s greatest asset – it’s climate and outdoor community – that much better through Outdoor Living’s products and customer service.

Every aspect of the store from its design to its staff to its products was done with the customer in mind, Stuart said, adding that his business philosophy is designed to give the customer a better experience than they can find anywhere else.

“Every single thing that we do is based on what is in the best interest of and what is the best experience for the customer,” Stuart said. “I am of the opinion that if I put that first, the rest of things will fall into place.”

Grand opening

Outdoor Living invites everyone to come celebrate the opening of its new showroom at 735 S. Bluff St. in St. George Thursday anytime from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The grand opening is just the store’s formal welcome to the community, Stuart said, and a chance for guests to come see the new location and the things they have done with the building.

“Even if you are not in the market for outdoor furniture, it’s a fun store,” he said, adding that he wants people to feel comfortable enough to mill about and enjoy everything the store has to offer.

Light food and drinks will be served and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place around 2 p.m.

Stuart hopes that current and former customers as well as anyone curious about the new location will attend and get to know him and his staff and what they are all about.

“I think that we are a good representation of what St. George is,” Stuart said. “That’s what this open house is about, just sharing that with the community.”
