CEDAR CITY Crowds of people decked out in red, white and blue lined the streets of Cedar City to watch the annual Fourth of July parade Wednesday morning. Kids rushed out to grab thrown candy, frisbees and frozen treats as the dozens of parade entries passed by. Those in the parade walked, marched, danced or rode horses, others drove or perched on various vehicles, including flatbed trailers, UTVs, vintage cars and firetrucks.

Following the parade, a full day of activities, food, games and music is taking place at Main Street Park, 200 N. Main St.

Fireworks will cap off Cedar City’s Independence Day celebration at 10 p.m. They will be shot off from 1600 N. Lund Highway, near the airport, but should be visible from many places around the valley.
