Utah Highway Patrol responded to the crash involving a rolled trailer at mile marker 36 near the Black Ridge Exit at 1:34 p.m.

UHP Sgt. Brady Zaugg said no one involved was injured but the incident caused “massive traffic issues.”

“They’re going to take a while to clean up that mess,” Zaugg said.

According to the Utah Department of Transportation, the incident blocked both the inside and outside lanes in the area of the crash, causing a bottleneck through the shoulder lane.

UDOT reports that traffic backed up for six miles causing delays of two hours for some drivers.

As of 4 p.m. Sunday, UDOT advises motorists use an alternate route if possible and expect delays of 15 minutes or more as congestion clears.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.
